— The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on Nov. 4 ordered an investigation to determine whether ConocoPhillips Company's market-based rate authority is considered unjust, unreasonable, unduly discriminatory or preferential, or otherwise unlawful, according to a FERC notice dated Nov. 5.

FERC issued the order in Docket No. EL27-4-000 under section 206 of the Federal Power Act, according to the notice. The order is cited as ConocoPhillips Company, 197 FERC ¶ 61,092 (2026).

The refund effective date in the proceeding, set under section 206(b) of the Federal Power Act, will be the date the notice is published in the Federal Register, FERC said.

Any interested person who wants to be heard in the docket must file a notice of intervention or a motion to intervene within 21 days of the date the order was issued, according to the notice.
