Headwaters Wire runs headwaterswire.com. We keep as little about you as we can.

Reading the site

No ads, no tracking cookies. Our host keeps standard server logs to run and protect the site.

The newsletter

We keep your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and the page you signed up from. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Alerts

We keep your email address, your filters, your plan and its status, and a record of the alert emails we sent you. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in; it is not used for anything else.

Payments are handled by Stripe and Link, which receive your name, address and card details under their own privacy policies. We never see your card number.

The contact form

We keep what you send us so we can answer it. A spam check protects the form.

Email to us

We keep emails sent to our address for up to 30 days so we can answer them.

Abuse protection

To stop abuse of our forms we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for one hour. We cannot turn it back into your address. The contact form and the page where you set up alerts load Cloudflare's spam check.

Who handles your data for us

Cloudflare (hosting and our database), Resend (sending emails) and Stripe and Link (payments). We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email with its link. Delete your alerts account and everything in it from your account page. For anything else, including a copy of what we hold about you, contact us.
